When I watched this movie and continued to read Station 11 all I could think about is how the two compare. In station 11 the Georgian flu is what everyone is trying to stay away from, in bird box they are trying to stay away from the figure. In both stories, there is a group of people who try to stay together and get through the issue as a group. These groups also both plan to get out of the danger and get to a safe spot. In Station 11 we see multiple characters travel as far as they can to find somewhere they can stay so they don't die from the flu. They don't exactly know what they're looking for but throughout there journeys, they meet people along the way that help them find a safe place. In bird box, the woman and her two kids know where the safe place is but their journey is very tough.
The plots in these stories have a different focus but are very similar. They both start with something that will end up wiping out the city, then they both have a group of people who want to find a way to get out of it so they can live. In the end, the main characters in the stories all end up getting to their safe place and starting a new life.
